Project Overview
The project was realized as part of the Traily app implementation with the desire to create an app onboarding. I was responsible for ensuring that the onboarding explained as clearly and briefly as possible what the Traily app can offer.
Goals
The onboarding should pick up new users quickly and clearly without overwhelming them with too much information. The aim was to briefly introduce the app's core functions and at the same time arouse interest, encourage users to continue wiping and discover the app. The screens should be functional, brand-compliant and easy to understand. Ideally without the need for additional explanation.
Process
I started with a functional analysis of the app and worked with the team to define the key content for onboarding. Using sketches and scribbles, I developed initial image ideas and combined these with short text modules. After several iterations, a stringent flow of onboarding screens was created, which I finally implemented in Figma.

Review
One of the biggest challenges was to condense the content without losing important aspects. I learned how strongly the interplay of text and image contributes to quick comprehensibility and how important clear prioritization is in storytelling. The team’s feedback was consistently positive, especially in terms of comprehensibility, tonality and visual clarity.

Final result
The final onboarding consists of several screens that explain step by step what the Traily app is all about. The content is structured in such a way that it can be easily expanded or customized. The design blends seamlessly into the rest of the app and offers new users an ideal introduction to the app.
