Project Overview
The project was developed as part of the final project in the second year of my training. I created a concept with gamification for a meditation app that focused on mental training. The aim of the project was to design an app and put our conceptual knowledge to the test.
Goals
The app was designed to motivate users to engage in regular mental training in a fun way. Gamification elements such as levels, rewards and progress indicators were intended to encourage long-term use. It was important that both the content structure and the visual concept were convincing and relevant to everyday life - with a focus on clarity, motivation and mental health.
Process
I started with a target group analysis and research into existing meditation and mental training apps. Based on this, I developed an app concept with a clear flow, content structure and wireframes. The visual design was based on a calm, motivating color and icon system. An inviting, stress-free interface was particularly important to me. The project was designed and documented in Figma.

Review
The biggest challenge was to combine gamification with mindfulness in a meaningful way, without disturbing the calmness or depth of the mental training. I learned how important it is to align and balance content and functions with real user needs. Looking back, it was one of my strongest concept projects. Especially because of the clarity of structure and idea.

Final result
The final result is a comprehensive app concept with a focus on mental training and motivating user guidance. The screens show a well-thought-out user journey with a clear design and playful elements to encourage regular use. Even though it is a concept, it conveys a clear vision of how mental health can be strengthened digitally.
